What’s up! Today I’m going to talk about what side effects I’ve come across from my steroid use. I’ve taken steroids for around 4 years and had a fair amount of experimentation. Trying different steroids at different dosages and combining them with others.
It’s important to differentiate between anabolic steroids, corticosteroids, and glucocorticoids. Anabolic steroids are synthetic forms of testosterone used by athletes to gain muscle mass, whereas corticosteroids and glucocorticoids are primarily used for their anti-inflammatory properties. Through this, I’ve gained a lot of knowledge about how my body deals with certain androgens, and I know what to and what not to take long term and what works for me in doing bodybuilding for longevity.
ACNE
Typically sets in when the estrogen is too high, usually from testosterone in my experience. It shows noticeably on the shoulders and upper back, this may be due to this is where the highest androgen receptors are. Increased appetite, a common side effect of steroid use, can also contribute to acne.
EXCESSIVE SWEATING
I would say this is actually a good one. It means your body is more anabolic, especially when eating food if you sweat. However, night sweats aren’t cool, and dripping all over your girl when you’re plowing her isn’t exactly the best thing either. Excessive sweating can sometimes be accompanied by high blood pressure, another common side effect of steroid use.
WATER RETENTION AND WEIGHT GAIN
The first would be definitely noticed in the face (moon face) you won’t look as ‘pretty’ as you used to. Also whenever you wear socks and there’s a big in dent in the skin it shows a high amount of water retention in the skin. Or when you sleep on your side and notice a massive indent on your face from the pillow. This can be from the estrogen conversion and also the glycogen retention promoted by certain steroids.
PUFFY, SORE NIPPLES
Another infamous estrogenic side effect from is testosterone. It feels like they’re about to go on fire, can be really irritating. They can also be puffy and can show through a tight t-shirt which is off-putting. A quick AI (aromatize inhibitor) tablet should do the trick to calm it down and go back to normal.

HAIR GROWTH AND ANABOLIC STEROIDS
Super noticeable over time in the shoulders and back. Also just facial hair and chest hair grow back a lot quicker after a trim or shave. A masculinizing effect or ANDROGENIC effect. It can be both good and bad, personally I don’t mind looking like a hairy bear but others may not lol. Increased muscle mass is another common effect of steroid use.
SEXUAL HEALTH
Feeling WAY too horny, or not in the mood for sex at all, a real rollercoaster. Thinking about sex too much can also take over your life, and not keep your cool with girls. On the other hand, once you get the girl in bed, it’s just a switch where you’re no longer interested or able to perform as you usually do. It’s so extreme with one or the other. Being natural is more of a medium all the time. Managing side effects when taking steroids is crucial to avoid complications and maintain overall health. There’s no harm in adding in Viagra or Cialis, its like steroids for the gym, it makes it more fun lol.

AGGRESSION AND HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
This can be focused, positive aggression in the gym and at work. It can also be where EVERYTHING pisses you off, can be a real irritant. I would like to note that steroids do not FORCE aggression, they PROMOTE aggression. So it’s the responsibility of the user to control this.
FOCUS
Steroids can promote Tunnel vision, more set on one thing and ignoring the other things around you. This can help with progress in the gym and also your business and work life. It helps you manage and deal with things much better. However, it’s important to note that steroids can affect the immune system’s ability to fight infections.
LACK OF DEPRESSION
Testosterone especially, is like the best antidepressant for men. It’s like it’s impossible to feel depressed on this stuff. It’s definitely helped me in my life, living and traveling alone and with work. How to deal with people and certain situations.
It’s also crucial to inform your healthcare provider about any other medications you’re taking, as steroids can interact with drugs like blood thinners and diabetes medications. Plus, steroids can raise blood pressure and blood sugar levels, so regular monitoring is essential.
CONCLUSION
In summary, steroids are powerful tools they also come with potential side effects. By following medical advice and keeping a close watch on your body, you can enjoy the benefits of steroids while minimizing the risks. My steroid side effects haven’t been anything too crazy, haven’t needed gyno surgery or have been put in the hospital (fingers crossed) It is inevitable to come across some kind of side effect when taking steroids, and it is important to identify the offending compound and remove it or lower the dosage.
